Dr. Connie Shang DVM is the founder of MiVU PLLC, a venture she established in August 2012.
Recognizing the crucial need for accessible diagnostic ultrasound services for veterinarians, Dr. Shang has propelled MiVU to serve over 400 hospitals with a team of seven highly-trained veterinarians specializing in ultrasound.
Dr. Shang graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and spent eight years practicing in a small animal hospital in Northern Virginia. It was during this time that she embarked on her journey with ultrasounds, a passion that led her to refine her sonographic skills through extensive ultrasound focused continuing education. To further enhance her expertise, Dr. Shang underwent intensive training under the mentorship of Dr. Marty Henderson, the visionary behind SonoVet, a mobile ultrasound practice in the Greater San Antonio area.
Today, Dr. Shang and The MiVU Team are transforming veterinary care by bringing state-of-the-art diagnostic ultrasound services directly to practices in the VA/DC/MD region, Richmond, VA, and Virginia Beach. With each passing year, MiVU's footprint continues to expand, offering invaluable diagnostic ultrasound support to both general practitioners and specialists.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Shang cherishes quality time with her husband, Jarrett, her sons Austin and Waylon, and her four-legged companions, May and June (her beloved black labs) and Ronnie (her naughty orange tabby cat).
